| Colt 3rd Model Thuer derringer. Early model with pregnant frame. Gun has all early features: pregnant frame, tight curl and high hammer. The barrel address is faint, but one can still make out the early marking. Barrel has been cleaned, and there is light pitting in places. The frame is very good with no real scratches or marks visible. Grips have been refinished, but fit well. Interestingly, there is no serial number under the grips and there never was one. under the barrel is the serial number 135. There is also a number on the flat of the frame 33. The serial number fore these guns should only be on the underside of the barrel and underneath the grips. It is possible that the Colt factory neglected to put the number on the frame and as for the presence of the 33, it could be an assembly number. We have consulted another expert who had no explanation either. Gun is a sharp early gun with no alterations other than the grips. Priced reasonably at:

| Colt 1860 Fluted Army shipped to P.S. Newton in April of 1861 in a shipment of 50. Of course April of 1861 coincides with the outbreak of the Civil War. P.S. Newton was a gunsmith in Connecticut from 1828 to 1888. Gun has a smooth gray to brown patina and reasonably sharp. All markings are clear and all serial numbers match. Grips have a slot cut in the bottom on both sides probably for some kind of sling. The loading lever catch is a gunsmith replacement. Action and lock up are tight. Nice sharp fluted army!

| Colt Single Action Army Ainsworth inspected revolver. Comes with a Kopec letter where Mr. Kopec confirms this is an honest gun that has minor alterations done in period of use. Most notably the cylinder pin is a replacement and the cylinder pin hole has been enlarged. There has been no attempts at fakery. These Ainsworths are very hard to find with original 7 1/2" barrel and not had some worth of restoration. Metal has spots of pitting and a brown patina throughout. US has been removed from frame which Mr. Kopec speculates that this was either a deserters gun or a gun that was captured by hostile Indians, whatever the case this gun looks to have surely seen service and gone out West.
