Ballard Carbine 44 Rimfire caliber rifle. Very good plus to excellent bore. This one of 2200 Ballards made by R. Ball & Co. 1865-66. 22" barrel. Of the 2200 produced about 200 or 300 only were carbines. Barrel and receiver have about 50-60% thinning blue. Stock is very good plus. Note: R.
