Colt Walker revolver. Rare. D Company 69. This Walker is from the Paul Sorrell collection and was known as the “Campfire Walker”. The reason for the nickname is that almost every part is mismatched. Soldiers would clean their guns and put the parts back together paying no attention to part numbers resulting in mismatch parts. This Walker is untouched and has an even beautiful patina finish. This Walker was displayed and shown in the Texas Gun Collector Magazine when the TGCA held the “Parade of Walkers” in 2003 in Houston, Texas. It featured 50 Walker revolvers. 1000 Walkers were issued to Texas Rangers in the Mexican War in 1847. Many were lost or destroyed. These are not only rare Colts but are a significant part of American history.

Colt “Pinch Frame” single action revolver. This is the Holy Grail of single action collecting. All correct revolver with factory letter and Ron Graham letter. Grahams letter describes the extreme rarity of this pinch frame revolver. Only about 160 pinch frames were produced and Graham states that the survival rate is very low. To quote Grahams letter ”The importance of serial number 58 and other known “first shipment” pinch frame single actions to Colt’s history and to Colt firearms collectors cannot be overstated. Two other pinch frames have sold for $316,000 and $345,000 respectively. You can find a Walker, you can’t find a pinch frame.
