Colt 1861 Navy Cartridge Conversion revolver with stag grips. Smooth uniform gray patina on metal. Nice sharp gun with good markings. Frame markings are the two line without the presence of the dots or dashes. If one looks very closely, a "C" can be seen off to the left of the marking of "Colts/ Patent". Nice old stag grips. Colt 1871-72 Open Top 7 1/2" barrel with navy size ivory grips. (Navy size gripped open tops are scarce!) Gun is very sharp and the cylinder scene is excellent. Finish is a blue-brown and bore is very good. Grips are beautiful mellow one piece ivory that look great. The fit is not perfect. This is a nice open top with scarce Navy grips. Also has nice low serial #258 and has the desirable "Colts patent" frame mark instead of the patent date marks. $9,850.00
