Colt 1878 .45 LC caliber revolver. Beautiful 5 1/2 nickel D.A. with fine old pearl grips. Gun was sent back to Colt for the 5 1/2 barrel and for the nickel plating. Has factory rework star and rework numbers. Original factory letter shows 7 1/2 barrel and blue. Shipped to Sears & Roebuck Co, Chicago, Illinois in 1900. Gun is excellent with 98-99% factory nickel. Beautiful 1878.

Colt 1878 38-40 caliber revolver. Manufactured approximately 1903. Gun is very good plus with 92-93% original blue. Bore is good plus with strong rifling and frosty in the grooves. Action is very smooth and works perfectly. Grips are excellent. 1878s in 38-40 are harder to find with 32-20 being the most difficult.

Colt 1878 DA revolver with pearl grips Texas shipped with factory letter. This gun was shipped to J.C. Petmecky of Austin Texas in September of 1890. Petmecky was a large Colt Dealer that was known to be a favorite of Texas Rangers. This gun still retains a respectable amount of nickel and the pearls grips are excellent minus slight chips on the left hand side. Very desirable to have an early shipped Texas Gun!
