Colt Officers Model .38 special caliber revolver. This gun belonged to famed lawman and US marital Bill Fossett. W.D. Fossett better known as Bill was a legendary lawman out of the Oklahoma territory. He was born in the 1850s and died in 1940. During his career he served in several capacities as a lawman including U.S. Marshall. It has been said that Fossett killed more people than any other lawman at the time. Included with the gun is Fossetts speed holster and a book entitled “W.D. “Bill” Fossett Pioneer and Peace Officer” by Jim Fullbright. Accompanying this is several other research documents that previous owners of this rig have found. This gun is inscribed on the top strap “W.D. “Bill Fossett/ U.S. M-Okla.” This is a very historic set!

Colt Python .357 Magnum caliber revolver. Very early model made in 1960. Very good condition with some wear and one spot of light pitting on the cylinder. The barrel and grips are later replacements. A good early example that you wouldn’t be afraid to shoot.
