Extremely Rare Bavarian Contract Henry rifle. This is on of approximately 500 Henry Rifles made for the King of Bavaria. There are several differences between these and a regular Henry Rifle. The most noticeable difference is the non-rotating barrel and the then newly designed loading system. An article by Herbert Houze accompanies this gun detailing more information on these rare rifles. This particular gun in addition to being German proofed is also English proofed and retailer marked. Condition on this gun is very fine with a smooth brown patina throughout the metal. This is a very rare rifle with approximately 10 known to exist among collectors. $23,500.00
