Winchester 1876 .45-60 caliber rifle. Barrel has been shortened to 25” and dust cover is missing. Bore has some rifling throughout and mechanics are very good. Metal has a smooth gray patina. Gun was made in 1883.

Winchester 1876 .45-60 caliber rifle. Manufactured in 1886. This is a very fine rifle with 65% original blue throughout metal. Has very fine wood as well. Very good bore and tight action. This is a very attractive sharp gun.

Winchester 1876 Open Top customized by Freund. Serial number 7434 and gun made in 1878. This gun is accompanied by Cody "white sheet" that letters the rifle with a round barrel and plain trigger. On other remarks is says "Lid, To 45-60 round, plain". Lid refers to the gun being fitted to a dustcover. For whatever reason an owner along the way removed the dustcover, possibly done at Freund, however the motive is unclear. Both the front and rear sights have Freund markings and the sight slot plug for the Winchester Factory sight has the initials TF in old script, undoubtedly the old owner. Gun is in very fine original condition with very desirable Freund sights as well as a tang sight of the period. Bore is excellent. Wood is very good. Buttstcok was refinished long ago, while the forearm is untouched. This is a very desirable gun.

Winchester Model 1876 45-60 caliber saddle ring carbine. Manufactured in 1882. Address is sharp, as is caliber marking. Metal is sharp, with very good edges. No pits or damaged areas. Finish is an even gray patina. Bore is good with even wear. Action is smooth and works perfectly. Wood has been sanded long ago and the metal is slightly above the wood where they meet up. Overall this is a very attractive 76 carbine.
