  • Factory Engraved Merwin & Hulbert Spur Trigger Revolver. Made in the late 1870’s – early 1880’s. 38 caliber 5 shot gun. 93% of the original factory nickel. The main concentration of loss is on the back strap and butt of the gun. Gun had a bird’s head grip that has been removed and reshaped. Engraving is excellent. Has a village panel scene on the left hand side. Very nice pearl grips that have some minor, but stable cracks. Gun is mechanically excellent. Bore is excellent.

  • Forehand and Wadsworth Old model Army. Very nice gun with excellent original nickel. This gun has the 7 ½” barrel.  Cylinder pin and barrel collar serve as the ejector compared to the new model which has an ejector rod housing and a shorter barrel. This gun has a figure of a bear stamped on the left hand side of the frame. It is thought this is a dealers’ retailer marking. Others have hypothesized this is a California Militia mark. Grips show some carry use. They are numbered in pencil on the side. Very fine scarce gun.

  • German Reich Revolver by V.C.S C.V (Charles Schilling) in Suhl. Gun has a scarce marking of BE branded deeply in the left grip. BE is Bayer-ische. Einwohnerwher” (Bavarian civil guard) Gun has other military issue markings on the buttcap. We believe the civil guard was formed in the 1920’s to offer the citizens some protection from the disorder occurring at that time. Excellent bore and action and grips. This is a sharp revolver with no pitting or abuse. Edges are sharp and gun shows some use but not much. This is the only example of a BE marked Reich revolver we have seen.

  • German two trigger officer’s model, Reich revolver by Dreyse. Excellent bore. Action works perfectly. Forward trigger works double action or by cocking the hammer. The rear trigger is single action. Grips are excellent. Safety lever is on left side of frame. Blue has thinned to bluish gray and patina straw parts have most of their color. Note: These officer models came with an ejector on the right side of the barrel. This revolver does not have the Ejector housing or rod. We have observed other examples over the years also missing ejectors. We believe from photos of the assembly and rod that they could be replicated by a good machinist. This is a rare revolver!
