Identified Starr Civil War Carbine to Private Andrew Rorie. Nice sharp Starr Percussion carbine identified to Private Andrew B. Rorie of Company K in the 3rd Arkansas Volunteer Cavalry. He was 18 when he enrolled and was described as being 5’6” and fair complected with blue eyes and light colored hair. The 3rd Arkansas was involved in various expeditions in and around Arkansas. Accompanying this gun is a letter signed by Frank Mallory of Springfield Research Service where he found the records of this gun being issued to Private Rorie. Neat gun!
