Joslyn 1864 Experimental Carbine (AL4166)

Joslyn 1864 Experimental Carbine. 44 caliber. Very fine gun with 85% of the original blue on the barrel. Interesting gun that does not have a saddle bar and appears to have never had one. Wood is very good and does not have a Cartouche. Case colors are still on the bolt but have darkened. Wood is excellent. Bore is excellent. The gun does not have any U.S. inspector’s marks on her and does not have a serial number. This gun is also in 44 caliber versus the standard .52 rimfire. It appears this is a gun made for civilian market, or a prototype. We have not found any other others listed. Very interesting gun that must be rare.
