  • Winchester 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine. .44 Henry Rimfire made in 1871. This gun shows good use. Scattered light pitting on the barrel with a dark gray patina. The frame has a patina. The saddle bar has been removed. Butt stock is off an 1873 and has a chip on the right hand side where it meets the frame. Forearm has minor cracks. All in all this gun shows some pretty good use, but it is a real Winchester 1866 Yellowboy!

  • 44 Henry Rimfire. The first digit of the serial number is partially obscured, so we don't have a year of manufacture. A lot of these guns were made in the 40,000 serial range, so there is a pretty good chance this gun was made in 1870. Barrel has gray to brown patina. Frame has a coat of lacquer over the brass. Wood is very good.

  • Factory Engraved Winchester 1866 Rifle. Made in 1870. .44 Rimfire. This is an untouched factory engraved 1866 done by one of the Ulrich family members, who were factory engravers for Winchester. This gun has classic scroll work with geometric patterns. There are several animal heads in the engraving. The wood is a grade fancier than you typically see. The barrel has nice even brown patina. The rear sight was remounted through the barrel address. Very fine factory engraved gun!

  • Excellent Winchester 1866 Rifle. Made in 1878. This is a superb example! 97% of the original blue finish on the barrel. Wood is very good with slight shrinkage at the butt stock. Brass frame is excellent with an even patina. This is a late 3rd model which still has the brass butt plate, but it is a transitional with an iron forend cap. Bore is bright and shiny. Top notch Winchester 1866!

  • Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine “Trapper.” Made in 1890. This gun has had its barrel shortened to 15 ½” and now the appearance of a Trapper. Of course, no Winchester 1866s came from the factory with super short barrels, this barrel looks to have been shortened during its period of use. Metal on barrel has a smooth dark brown patina with very clear markings. Frame has a rich dark mustard color patina. Wood appears to have been in a dry climate and there looks to have been tacks in the left hand side of the butt. Very neat looking 1866 saddle ring carbine!
