Early Edo Period (1600-1650) Japanese Helmet (Kanuto). Constructed on 62 plates, each with 30 standing rivets diminishing in size as they approach the crown, fitted with a gilt-copper three-stage tehen kanamono. The Mabizashi lacquered black with dark red lace. The Mempo has lacquer of black, red and gold.

Japanese Tanto. Late Meiji period 1880-1900. Very well done scrimshaw of Geishas and Floral motif. Interestingly, the blade is made from a bayonet and has the top ring for fixing it to a rifle barrel. Scrimshaw is signed. Condition is excellent. Overall length is 12¾”.

Bronze Statue of Fujin, God of Winds. Fujin figure is depicted with a bag containing the winds over his shoulders; beneath him, is a creature with elongated claws and elongated tail. The stand is supported by four elephant heads. Underneath the stand, there is a signature. Vertical height is 16” (about 41cm). Stand is 9 ½” (24cm) x 8” (20cm).
