The barrel is inscribed “F.C. Schaub”. Schaub lived in Dallas, TX, and by family lore he was a Dallas deputy sheriff. In Dallas he was the general manager for Sears. He later moved to Philadelphia where he was again the Sears...

Colt Lightning .32-20 caliber rifle. Gun has approximately 40% blue. The balance is a very pleasing blue-brown patina. Barrel flats have sharp edges and markings are excellent. Bore is good plus to very good. Stock has been refinished. The buttplate fits well, the wood at the tang is below the tang edges. A nice lightning.

Colt 1877 Lightning revolver. Made in 1885. Beautiful gun with excellent bright original blue. Gun appears unfired. The cylinder has some light flaking; gun rates at 95% overall blue. Etched panel is perfect! Case colors are bright and vivid. This gun has British proofs and was most likely sold in the English market.
