Colt Lightning 38-40 caliber rifle. Pump action with excellent forearm. Almost no wear on checkering. Manufactured in 1885. Barrel has much original blue. Receiver has crisp horse on side. Blue is thinner from age. Sights are original, butt stock does not show much use. Bore is bright and action tight.

Colt Lightning .32-20 caliber rifle. Colt Lighting rifle with 30” Octagonal barrel in .32-20 caliber. About 85% beautiful bright blue receiver. Barrel and tube have high percentage of blue. Tang and butt plate have a patina look. Stock has not been cleaned but has use dings. Bore has period “CF” engraved on top of receiver. Manufactured 1898.

Colt Lightning .44-40 caliber rifle. Saddle Ring Carbine with 20” barrel. The stock and the forend have been refurbished. Nice patina with some blue on barrel around the rear sight. Excellent action. Has Belgian proofs. These were used in the Congo. Strong rifling and dark in the grooves. Hard to find.

Colt Lightning .32-20 caliber rifle. Scarce half-round, half-octagon special order barrel. Bore is good plus with shiney areas mostly and some pits. Gun has a nice Tang sight. Metal is smooth with an eye pleasing even patina. Buttstock is very good plus. Forend is very good.

Colt Lightning .44-40 caliber rifle. Excellent Colt made in 1885 in the most desirable caliber. Beautiful gun with 96% plus original finish. Wood is fantastic and is free of cracks and chips. There are just the slightest of handling marks. Bore is excellent and action works perfectly. Gun has Tang sight and a gold plated flip front sight. Beautiful gun!

Bore has strong rifling but is dark in the grooves. Buttstock is refinished but looks good. Forend has a piece of wood missing on lower right side.
