Colt 1851 Navy

Serial number 42115. Made in 1856. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very fine all original finish with 85% of the original blue on the barrel. The frame has most of the original bright case colors. Grips are excellent. Case has very fine accessories. This gun was sold in the English market and has the appropriate proof marks.

Serial No. 149340, made in 1863, .36 caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel. Bore is good with frosting and oxidation visible in the grooves. Rifling remains strong. Serial numbers are matching, wedge is not marked. Finish is a grey patina with markings legible, faint traces of cylinder scene remains. Action indexes correctly with a good lock up. Grips have expected nicks dings and scratches....

Serial No. 64810, made in 1856, .36 caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel. Metal is a grey patina with scattered areas of surface oxidation, most noticeably on the cylinder. Rear of the barrel has had a period dovetail for a sight added. Serial numbers are matching except wedge, cylinder serial number is faint. Serial number 192945. Made in 1866. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very fine gun with the majority of the original blue on the barrel. Good fading case colors remain on the frame. The grips are excellent. This gun comes in a factory case with accessories. 

Serial number 60069. Made in 1856. 38CF caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Nice sharp gun with a mostly gray patina that has isolated spots of protected blue finish on the barrel. Serial number 2761 and 2762. Made in 1851. 36 caliber with 7 ½” barrels. This is a beautiful consecutive pair of early Colt 1851 Navy Models with the square back trigger guards. Serial number 33311. Made in 1855. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Beautiful cased Colt London 1851 Navy with a  London address. The barrel has approximately 50% of the original blue. Factory Engraved Colt 1851 Navy .36 caliber revolver. Made in 1860. 4th Model Navy revolver. Gun is factory engraved. Metal has a nice brown patina. Partial cylinder scene is still visible. Action works fine. Grips fit perfectly.

Serial number 17089 and 36691. Made in 1852 and 1854. 36 caliber with 7 ½” barrels. These are both London Colt 1851 Navy models with British proof marks. Both guns have deluxe factory engraving patterns, but the engraving is later. Both gun are mint as finished after the engraving. The guns are unsigned, but we think this could be the work of Tommy Haas and Horacio...

Serial number 10463. Made circa 1860s. 35 caliber with a 6 3/8” barrel. This gun has a dark brown patina throughout. The trigger guard is marked “35 CAL” Barrel is marked “CAP. System. Manufactuer By Rongeson. Cylinder has European Proofs.

Serial number 62186. Made in 1856. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very fine sharp gun with some of the original blue finish on the barrel. Cylinder scene is extremely sharp., Numbers are all matching. This gun has a iron trigger guard and iron back strap. Grips are very good, but no cartouches are visible.

Serial number 38576. Made in 1855. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This gun has a dark gray patina.  And shows a fair amount of wear. The trigger guard and backstrap are iron instead of the standard brass. The back strap is a replacement. Grips are good overall. 

Serial number 40833. Made in 1855. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Metal has a mottled light gray patina. This gun is English proofed on both the barrel and each chamber of the cylinder. This gun has a London barrel address. There is still some cylinder scene remaining. This gun has a iron trigger guard and iron backstrap.

Serial number 26142. Made in 1855. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a London model with a London barrel address. Very good condition with 50% of the blue of the barrel, and 80% of the blue on the cylinder. The frame has been cleaned. Grips are very good. This gun has an iron trigger guard and back straps. Case is very good.

Serial number 11128. Made in the 1850s- 1860s. This is a very well made European copy of a Colt 1851 navy finished in the White.

Inscribed factory engraved Colt 1851 Navy with carved Mexican eagle ivory grips. Made in 1863. This is a fantastic presentation Colt 1851 Navy inscribed to “Juan P. Robles”. Condition is excellent with 90% plus of the original blue on the barrel and cylinder. Good case colors remaining on the frame. Grips are original carved Mexican eagle grips.
