Colt 1851 Navy

Serial number 42115. Made in 1856. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very fine all original finish with 85% of the original blue on the barrel. The frame has most of the original bright case colors. Grips are excellent. Case has very fine accessories. This gun was sold in the English market and has the appropriate proof marks.

Serial No. 149340, made in 1863, .36 caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel. Bore is good with frosting and oxidation visible in the grooves. Rifling remains strong. Serial numbers are matching, wedge is not marked. Finish is a grey patina with markings legible, faint traces of cylinder scene remains. Action indexes correctly with a good lock up. Grips have expected nicks dings and scratches....

Serial number 177006. Made in 1864.36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Metal has a gray patina. Grips are ivory and very fine. This gun is all matching.

Serial No. 64810, made in 1856, .36 caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel. Metal is a grey patina with scattered areas of surface oxidation, most noticeably on the cylinder. Rear of the barrel has had a period dovetail for a sight added. Serial numbers are matching except wedge, cylinder serial number is faint. Serial number 192945. Made in 1866. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very fine gun with the majority of the original blue on the barrel. Good fading case colors remain on the frame. The grips are excellent. This gun comes in a factory case with accessories. 

Serial number 60069. Made in 1856. 38CF caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Nice sharp gun with a mostly gray patina that has isolated spots of protected blue finish on the barrel. Serial  number 136327. Made in 1863. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Nice sharp gun with an even brown patina. The grips are very good. The butt has the initials “F. M. B.” This gun comes with a carved slim jim holster.

Serial number 56475. Made in 1856. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a scarce gun with iron trigger guard and backstrap. This is probably an overrun from a Martial contract since this gun falls right in the martial range. Action works well. Markings are on legible and clear. Gun is all matching.

Serial number 85370. Made in 1857. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with a bluish, plum patina. On the barrel. The barrel has had a rear sight added. Cylinder scene is still visible. Some of the varnish still remains on the grip.

Serial number 157530. Made in  1894. 44-40 caliber with a 4 ¾” barrel. This gun has been refinished and is completely blue. Some small parts have been changed such as the hammer, grips and some screws.

Serial number 64431. Made in 1856. 36 caliber with 7 ½ barrel. Nice sharp gun with a light gray patina. Frame still has traces of case colors in protected areas. Some of the cylinder scene is still visible. Grips are very good with visible cartouches.
