Colt 1849 Pocket

SN: 299804. Made in 1867, .31 Cal percussion revolver with 6" barrel. Percussion revolver in good condition. The metal has a gray patina with some scuffmarks. The grips are very good with some varnish remaining and no cracks or chips. The action works correctly. (CONSIGNMENT)

Serial No. 207763, made in 1862 and shipped to Smith Crane & Co New York City, NY. .31 caliber, 5" octagonal barrel with New York USA barrel address. Metal is a light grey patina with nicks visible left side of the barrel. Traces of cylinder scene are visible. Serial numbers are matching including wedge. Grips show traces of original varnish and are in overall very good condition. Action...

Serial No. 271741, made in 1865, .31 caliber, 5" octagonal barrel. Revolver is in untouched "Attic" condition with oxidation visible throughout. Loading lever plunger is missing, action does not function. Brass frame trigger guard is dull antique patina. Grips have expected nicks dings and wear noted. Consignment

Serial No. 146596, made in 1858, .31 caliber, 6" octagonal barrel. Serial numbers are matching, finish is a dark grey patina with surface oxidation and pitting visible. Original varnish is flaking, mostly on the right side with a chip at the toe. Action does not function hammer will go to full cock, cylinder will not rotate. Bore has pitting in the grooves, rifling remains strong....

Serial number 26626. Made in 1852. 31 caliber with a 6” barrel. This is a factory engraved, donut scroll Colt 1849 pocket. This gun is cased with a very fine flask. The metal has been cleaned and has a light gray patina. The grips are one piece ivory with a patriotic eagle on the left hand side. Above the eagle reads “E. Pluribus Unum” Very fine...

Serial number 5329. Made circa 1860s. 25 caliber with a 4” barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with approximately 50% of the original blue finish on the barrel. Serial No. 108699, made in 1855, .31 caliber, 4" octagonal barrel. Serial numbers are matching. Metal is mostly a plum patina with 20% blue visible on the barrel. 20% plated brass remains on grip straps. Left side grip shows a .5" gouge, light scratches are visible. 96% Cylinder scene remains, action indexes correctly with a tight lock up.

Serial No. 2267 circa 1853-1857, .31 caliber, 6" octagonal barrel. Barrel is marked "Address Col.Colt/London. British proof marks are stamped forward of the Wedge. Serial numbers are matching including wedge, handsome cylinder scene is visible. Overall finish is a light grey patina. Action indexes correctly with a tight lock up. Nice iron strapped gun!

0Serial number 225651. Made in 1863.  31 caliber with 6” barrel. This is a reasonably sharp gun with a gray patina/ Some original varnish remains on the grips. Some cylinder scene is still visible.

SN: 3583. Manufactured circa 1870's, .38 Rimfire with a 5.5" Barrel. Bore is excellent. This gun is beautifully engraved. The frame, barrel and trigger guard are silver plated. The hammer and cylinder are gold plated. This gun has been expertly refinished. The action works perfectly. This gun has original Tiffany grips. This gun was formerly in the Robert M. Lee collection.

SN: 209866. Made in 1862. .31 cal percussion with a 6" barrel. Civil war era percussion revolver with properly functioning action. Has about 80% blue on the barrel with case colors on the lever. Colt 1849 Pocket Model .31 caliber revolver. Barrel is 6”. Has approximately 99% of an expertly done refinish. The revolver was pitted in the past and later “Cleaned” to remove pits on the barrel. SN: AC604. Made in 1856, .31 caliber, 2.875" barrel. "Wells Fargo" model 1849 pocket revolver in fair condition with light pitting on the frame & barrel as well as visible engraved cylinder scene.

Serial number 71594. Made in 1853. 31 caliber with a 5” barrel. Gun has beautiful original blue that rates 80%+. The case colors on the frame have darked to a mostly dark gray  patina. Cased Colt 1849 Pocket. Made in 1860. Nice gun with 90% of the original blue on the barrel. Good traces of case color remain. Grips have been cleaned. Original factory case. Good blue on mold. Very attractive set. 

Colt 1849 Pocket .31 caliber with Crowned Muzzle. One of the rarest variations. There is 95% of the blue on the barrel. All of the case colors are present, but have turned dark. Grips are excellent. This was the last evolutionary change made in the Colt 1849 series. Approximately 400 of these were made, but it is estimated that less than 50 survived.

Cased Colt 1849 Pocket .31 caliber revolver. 68xxx serial number range. Very good plus condition with 93-95% blue. Very fine case with fine flask, mold and cap can. Beautiful outfit.

Colt 3” Barrel 1849 Pocket Model. Serial 171254. Very rare Colt 1849. In Robert M. Jordan’s book Colt’s Pocket “49, he list 3 serial ranges for the rare 3” barrel. He lists 17030 to 171800.
