Colt 1911 .45 ACP caliber pistol belonging to Brigadier General Benidict Aron. Made in 1914. Nice sharp gun with 70% of the original blue and the rest turned to patina. Bore is excellent. Gun comes with US GI holster that is marked “B. Aron/1310” on the inside flat. On the right hand side of frame is engraved “MAJ. B.Aron, Chicago, IL”. Underneath the serial number is the caduceus for medicine....

Gun is all correct and only shows light use. Bore is excellent. Gun comes with a US GI holster.

Frame has been parkerized, slide has been refinished since leaving the arsenal. Bore is very good rating at an 8 out of 10.

Colt 1911 .38 AMU caliber pistol. Rare Colt AMU 1911. Frame made in 1918. Rare gun. The AMU stands for Army Marksmanship Unit. There were 30 of these originally made for the US Army Advanced Marksmanship Training Unit. This gun was made out of an AMU Kit. The AMU cartridge was basically a modified 38 special. Scarce gun that one does not see often.

Colt 1917 45 ACP caliber revolver. Colt 1917 U.S. Military model in excellent condition. This is a beautiful example except for the removal of the military markings at the lanyard swivel on the bottom of the butt. The “U.S. Property” mark on the underside of the barrel is not there and was not removed. It just was never put on. So, this really fine revolver is reasonably priced.

Gun was reblued long ago, but the action works perfectly. The bore has fair rifling and corrosion in the grooves. So, now we have a large bore home defense gun.
