US WWII service pistol with testimony of the officer's service in WWII and there after. Pistol belonged to a Colonel, who trained other pilots in California, during the war and was serving as a Petroleum Supply Coordinator for the DOD in Korea. Pistol in in near excellent overall condition. Bore is excellent. A desirable Colt 1911A1!

Black Army Colt 1911 .45 ACP caliber pistol. Manufactured in 1919. Pistol has the correct barrel and has the correct two-tone magazine. Grips are checkered with diamond reserves, which is correct. Has approximately 97-98% black finish. The action works perfectly. Very good to excellent Black Army.
