Colt 1860 Army

SN: 23906. Made in 1861, .44 Cal percussion revolver with 8" barrel. Commercial model percussion revolver cut for shoulder stock. The metal has a gray patina with some surface pitting on the barrel, the grips are very good with no cracks or chips. The action works correctly. (CONSIGNMENT)

Serial number 23163. Made in 1861. 44 caliber with a 8” barrel. Very fine gun with over 50% of the original finish mixed with a plum colored patina giving the appearance of closer to a 90% gun. The frame has bright case colors. Cylinder has all of the scene and is matching. Grips are excellent with nice sharp cartouches!

Serial No. 48015, made in 1862, .44 caliber, 8" round barrel. Overall very good condition, serial numbers are matching except for the wedge. Serial number 93955. Made in 1863. 44 caliber with a 8” barrel. This gun has an even gray patina. Metal has been cleaned. All numbers are matching. No number is visible on the cylinder. Action indexes and locks up, but action needs a slight adjustment.

Serial No. 30708, made in 1862, .44 caliber, 7 7/8" round barrel. Metal is in the bright, serial numbers are mismatching, this is due to the revolver being rearsenaled for the Indian Wars going on after the Civil War. Bore is good with handsome rifling noted. Serial 38409, made in 1862, .44 caliber, 8" round barrel. Metal is a smooth polished grey patina with refinished blue visible. Marked serial numbers are matching, no cylinder scene remains. Grips have been revarnished with light surface scratches noted. Bore has oxidation with strong rifling visible. Faint barrel address is visible. Action indexes but is not smooth. Consignment

Serial number 102379. Made in 1863. 44 caliber with an 8” barrel. Metal has been cleaned. Grips are very good with a visible cartouche on the right hand side.

Serial number 35137. Made in 1862. 44 caliber with an 8” barrel. Very fine condition. Barrel has approximately 50% thinning blue. The frame still has most of the case colors. Cylinder scene is excellent. Grips are very good as lightly cleaned. Gun is all matching

Serial number 123436 &123431. Made in 1863. 44 caliber with 8” barrels Both of these guns are identically “New York” engraved and silver plated. Serial number 183476. Made in 1869. 44 caliber with an 8” barrel. This is a civilian variation with full recoil shield. The grips have most of the original varnish. Metal is nice and sharp with traces of original blue. Cylinder scene is excellent. Very nice sharp Colt 1860 Army!

Serial number 93929. Made in 1863. 44 caliber with an 8” barrel. Nice Sharp gun with an even gray patina. Barrel has some pitting on the right hand side near the muzzle. Cylinder scene is very good. Traces of case colors remains. Gun is all matching. Cartouches are still visible.

Serial number 166239. Made in 1867. 44 caliber with an 8” barrel. This gun is heavily pitted and in relic condition. The hammer still moves and there is no main spring.

Serial number 1403. Made in 1861. 44 Caliber with a 8” barrel. Absolutely beautiful gun with 90% of the original blue on the barrel, bright case colors on the frame, 85% of the original blue on the cylinder and 95% of the original silver on the back strap and trigger guard.
