Colt Conversions

Serial No. 18779, circa 1873-1875, .38RF, 4.25" octagonal barrel. Metal is a grey patina with discoloration and scratches visible mostly on the barrel. Approximately 40% sharp Cylinder scene remains, serial numbers are matching. Bore is good with strong rifling visible.Grips show very light handling marks with original varnish. Action indexes correctly with a tight lock up. Consignment 

Serial No. 314287, circa 1873-1880, .38RF, 3-1/2" round barrel. Metal is a dark grey patina with faint barrel address visible. Serial numbers are matching, wedge is unmarked. Bore is good with oxidation noted in the grooves. Rifling remains strong. left side of frame has two line patent dates. Action indexes correctly, comes with holster. Consignment 

Serial number 10141. Made circa late 1860s to early 1870s. 38 Rimfire caliber with 4 ½” barrel. Very nice sharp gun with 50% or the period nickel finish. This gun is New York engraved and period. The grips are excellent two piece pearls. Action revolves and locks up on most of the notches. The wedge screw is broken.

Serial number 7717. Made late 1860s – 1870s. 38 CF caliber with a 4 ½” barrel. This gun has a mostly gray patina with approximately 15% of the original nickel finish remaining. Cylinder scene is still visible. Original still mostly covers the back strap and trigger guard. Old ivory grips show a nice mellow patina. The back strap is marked “F. Bravo”...

Serial No. 4496, circa 1871-1873, .44 CF, 5.4" round barrel. Unique cut down, first serial number range Richards Conversion 6-shot revolver. Barrel is marked "-ADDRESS COL.SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-". Left side of trigger guard has the 1871/1872 patent dates. Left shoulder of trigger guard strap is stamped "44CAL". Serial numbers are matching, rolled engraved cylinder scene is crisp...

Serial number 311058. Made circa 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 3 ½” barrel. This gun has approximately 40% of the original nickel finish remaining. Action works well and locks up tight. Grips are carved one piece ivory with a Mexican eagle and snake. Along with this gun comes a piteado flap holster. Piteado holster are mostly associated with Mexico. (Consignment)

Serial number 306491. Made circa 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 3 ½” barrel. Nice sharp gun with only traces of original nickel finish. Factory engraving is nice and sharp. Very good cylinder scene remains. Grips are original one piece Ivory. Along with this gun comes a neat flap, single loop Piteado Holster. Piteado holster are mostly associated with Mexico....

Serial number 313905. Made early 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 3 ½” barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with approximately 40% of the original nickel. This gun has two piece carved Mexican eagle pearl grips. Along with the gun is a carved slim Jim style flap holster! (Consignment)

Serial number 3771. Made circa late 1860s. 38 RF  with a 6 ½” barrel. Gun is in excellent condition to near new. Cylinder scene is excellent. This gun has beautiful two piece pearl grips. (Consignment)

Serial number 11835. Made late 1860s. 38 RF caliber with a 5 ½”. Gun is in near new condition with bright original nickel on metal surfaces. Cylinder scene is excellent. Grips are excellent one piece ivories. (Consignment)

Serial number 13498. Made circa late 1860s. 38 RF caliber with a 6 ½” barrel. Nice sharp gun with  a dark gray to brown patina. Some cylinder scene still visible. Grips are period checkered ivories. Action works perfect. (Consignment)

Serial number 184596. Made in 1869. 44-100 Thuer caliber with an 8” barrel.  Excellent condition with 95% of the original blue. The frame has bright case colors. The grips have most of the original varnish. Thuer conversions are exceedingly rare and cased examples in this condition of virtually unheard of. SN: 316506. Manufactured in 1849, .38 Colt with a 3.375" barrel. Bore is good with strong rifling. Single action black powder revolver converted to accept cartridges. The cylinder rotates freely. Overall good condition. (Consignment)

SN: 323166. Circa 1879. .38 Colt centerfire with a 3.5" barrel, bore is good with strong rifling and scattered pitting. Pocket single action revolver with nickel finish, case hardened hammer, blued trigger, engraved round cylinder, no loading gate and varnished walnut grip. Pocket single action revolver with nickel finish, blued trigger, engraved round cylinder, no loading gate and varnished walnut grip. Revolver has been converted from a finished percussion revolver. SN: 9095. Manufactured circa 1872, .38 Long Colt with 7.5" barrel. Bore is excellent. Antique single action revolver converted to accept cartridges, 6rd cylinder. clearly visible Colt address on top of barrel and 2-line patent date codes on the left side of the frame. Colt 1st Model Richards Conversion. Made in the 1870s. 8” Barrel in .44 Colt Centerfire. This is a very fine 1st Model Colt Richards Conversion. The barrel is very fine with 30-40% of the original blue on the barrel. The frame and cylinder are very sharp but have little to no original finish. Cylinder still has most of the scene. Colt Pocket Navy Conversion revolver with a round 3 1/2" barrel. This model is actually made as a cartridge gun and was not made from a percussion. Serial number 2251. Gun is very good and has excellent grips.

Serial number 1767. Made circa early 1870s. 38RF with a 7 ½” barrel. Gun is excellent with 90% of the original nickel finish. Excellent cylinder scene remains. Grips are ivory.
