Made in 1848. 44 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very good example of a 1sty Model Dragoon with a smooth even light brown to gray patina. Barrel on the left hand side has fine pin point pitting. Cylinder scene is very good. Grips are dark with 15%-20% of the original varnish. Action works properly. Numbers all matching.

Torrey Colt Agent Mexico City January 9th 1851”. Colt sent agents to Mexico after the war to generate more sales. Grips have a Mexican Eagle cartouche and shows an old crack repair on both sides.
