Colt 1855 Root .31 caliber revolver. Model 6A with a 4 1/2” barrel. Unfluted cylinder with a very strong cylinder scene. Blue remains at 25-30%. Grips are very good with most of the original varnish. This gun is serial number 11021 which is almost the end of the series. Nice attractive gun.

Hammer has excellent case colors. Mechanically fine. Case is very good plus with Colts patent mold, cap can, flask, cleaning rod and key. Very fine cased root.

Colt Factory Engraved #2 Model Root with ivory grips. Action works perfectly. Gun is very nicely inscribed "John Dunlap" on the backstrap. Gun has 50-60% strong blue with the rest either thinning or turning patina. Grips are nice but have a small chip out of the right rear toe.
