Colt No. 2 Model Root revolver. Excellent cylinder scene. Action works perfectly. Grips are near excellent. Gun has 85-90% blue. Frame has some light pits on the left side. Excellent case colors on the hammer and lever. Very fine Root model.

Colt 1855 Root .31 caliber revolver. Model 6A with a 4 1/2” barrel. Unfluted cylinder with a very strong cylinder scene. Blue remains at 25-30%. Grips are very good with most of the original varnish. This gun is serial number 11021 which is almost the end of the series. Nice attractive gun.
Colt No. 2 model Root Sidehammer revolver. Gun has lost its finish. Factory engraved. Engraving is sharp and crisp. Grips are beautiful Burl Walnut. (Correct factory grips.) Hard to find factory engraved Root. Reasonably priced.
Colt No. 2 Root revolver cased with accessories. Gun has 90-92% blue on frame and cylinder has a good scene. Cylinder finish has faded to gray. Grips are near excellent. Hammer has excellent case colors. Mechanically fine. Case is very good plus with Colts patent mold, cap can, flask, cleaning rod and key. Very fine cased root.
Colt Factory Engraved #2 Model Root with ivory grips. Action works perfectly. Gun is very nicely inscribed "John Dunlap" on the backstrap. Gun has 50-60% strong blue with the rest either thinning or turning patina. Grips are nice but have a small chip out of the right rear toe.
