Winchester Hi-Wall .45-70 caliber Musket. Serial number 25460. Manufactured 1888. Bore is excellent. Barrel has a blue-brown patina with the appearance being more blue than brown. The stocks are very good with minor handling marks, no cracks or chips. This musket is the .45-70 caliber with thickside frame. Scarce 1st model thicksided frame!

Winchester 1885 High Wall in 32-40 Made in 1887. Very interesting gun with George Schoyen barrel. Schoyen was a talented gunsmith and target shooter who made his own barrels and would put his barrels on different single shot rifles. The barrel appears to be the equivalent of number 4 Winchester barrel. The wood appears to be the original forearm, so this was probably a gun with a number 4...
