Winchester model 1873, serial number is hard to read. Barrel is 24.5" in length. Metal is a plum patina with scattered oxidation throughout. Wood shows usage an handling wear with custom patchbox and inlays. Crack is visible on the forearm running full length. Bore is dark with pitting noted in the grooves.

Winchester 1873 Nickel Trim caliber rifle. Very early gun made in 1874. Gun has early features with the raised thumbprint dust cover and the reversed rear sight. Barrel has 90% plus of the original blue on the barrel. Frame has all of the nickel/ Wood is excellent and the butt plate still has very good case colors. About as nice of an early gun as you could ask for!
