Interesting Underhammer Pistol. 7 ½” barrel with a .36 caliber bore. Barrel has ramrod catch on the bottom flat. Grip has a round angular grip that flares out to a square style butt. Decorative inlayed pieces are on both sides. The top of the barrel is marked “J.W.B.” which we do not know if this is the maker or owner. Unmarked American Underhammer Pistol. 4 ½” barrel with a .36 caliber bore. Gun is in excellent condition with over 80% of the original blued finish on the barrel. This pistol is completely unmarked, but almost certainly came from the Northeast New England area where these guns were popular. Very fine condition!

Locks have sliding safeties. Barrels have captive ramrods. Blow out plugs are silver. Stock is excellent with perfect checkering and 95% original varnish. Frame and locks have very good case colors....

Gun has a horn forend tip. Lock has game scene engraving. Cut has fitting for shoulder stock. Fine pistol. Note: wrist has an old crack repair that is well done.

Dutch Horseman’s pistol converted to percussion from flintlock. Barrel length 17” and is 21” overall. Lock is rounded and has a slight banana tilt. To the top of the lock. Action works perfectly. Stock is very good with some small chips around the bottom edge of the lock. Side plate is a steel serpent and is well done. This is a fine long pistol from the mid 17th century.
