Martially marked Pettengille are not common, 500 were issued to the 3rd Mich. Calvary and small quantities went to 3rd and 5th Missouri militia. And the 1st Arkansas, 3rd Illinois and 3rd Kentucky.

Whitney 2nd Model .36 caliber revolver. U.S inspector marked on major parts. No cylinder scene. Grips are good plus and have initials on the bottom. Bore is good plus to very good. Note: In our opinion this gun has been expertly draw filed and all the markings have been re-applied. The gun is a real Whitney with some later on embellishments.
