Flintlock Pistols

NSN, circa early 1700'S, .68 caliber, 13" round barrel. Barrel and lock plate are a light grey patina, metal was polished at some point leaving the engraving soft and markings illegible. Stock is engraved around the barrel tang and breech, wood loss is visible right side around the engraved brass butt cap. Checkering is smooth from handling and usage wear. Serial No. 1117, circa early 19th century, .44 caliber, 1.5" round barrel. Overall good condition with a light grey patina finish. Underside has English proof marks, right side is marked "LONDON" left side is marked "J&W.RICHARDS". One piece wooden grip has minor scratches noted. Action functions correctly holding at half and full cock. Consignment.

NSN, circa early 1800's, .54 caliber, 7-3/4" round brass barrel. Barrel is English proofed marked with "LONDON" marked forward of the breech. " Faint " W/KETLAND/& Co." is visible on the lock plate. Wood has expected nicks, dings, and scratches visible. Brass is a nice antique patina, lock is a grey patina with scattered oxidation noted. Action holds at half and full cock. Consignment

NSN, circa early 1800's, .58 caliber, 7.5" round English proofed barrel marked London. Barrel and other iron parts are a grey patina with light surface oxidation visible. Lock plate is marked "KETLAND/& Co. Wood is good with expected handling wear noted. A repair is visible at the rear ram-rod pipe that goes to the trigger guard. Action holds at half and full cock. NSN, circa mid to late 1700's, .62 caliber, 8" octagonal barrel with a flared muzzle. Barrel has a brown patina finish with mottled discoloration visible. Belgian proof mark is visible on the left flat. Stock is very good with light handling wear visible. Lock plate is marked "Le Grand/Belliles" with floral pattern visible rear of lock and hammer. Action holds at half and full cock....

NSN. Made circa 1810. 75 caliber with 6” barrels. Very fine set of guns. Barrel have been cleaned. And has a mottled gray patina. The top of the barrel is marked “E. Bond 45 Cornhill London/ Gun Maker to the HONlbe E. I. Comp” The wood is excellent with nice sharp checkering. The trigger guards still have very good original blue.

NSN. Made circa 1830s – 1840s. Bore measure 1 3/8” with a 10 ½” barrel. This is a very fine example of an ottoman knee gun. The barrel has silver inlays with geometric designs. Wood is very good and is decorated with Crescent moons on both sides. Wood is very good.

Made circa 1850. Guns are in 68 caliber with 9 ½” barrels. Absolutely beautiful pair with silver over lay decorated barrels. Stocks are metal adorned with polish coral and turquoise. Both guns are en suite. Along with the guns comes a Trousse of three knives. The scabbard is decorated similar to the pistol barrels with silver overlay and turquoise and polished coral...

Made circa 1780. 70 caliber with a 9” barrel. These are very unusual guns with gold plated relief cast barrels. The stocks are silver wire inlaid. The frame of the pistols on the left hand side are engraved in French.

Made circa 1790. 68 caliber with an 11” swamped barrel. This is a beautiful high art gun with solid silver Mounts. Both the barrel and the lock are Gold inlaid. There are 3 stampings at the rear of the barrel. Central, on top is marked "JOVER" "& SON" "LONDON" all under a crown. Two flanking stamps depict relief...

NSN, circa 1800's, .62 caliber, 7.75" round "LONDON" marked brass barrel. Light coat of varnish has been applied to the lock plate and wood. Lock plate is marked "W/KETLAND/& CO." forward of the hammer. Action holds at half and full cock. Wood shows visible usage and wear with the edges now rounded. 

NSN. Circa 1800. 46 caliber with a 4 ½” barrel. This metal has been cleaned. Grips are very good.

Made circa 1980s. 50 caliber bores with 9 ½” barrels. The barrels are half octagon and the other half above the wood line has more of a rounded profile with flat sides. The barrels are browned. Wood is excellent and has engraved German silver mounts. The side plates even have silver wire inlay. Stocks are also carved....

Made circa 1770. 44 caliber with a 4” barrel. Very neat pair of tap action guns. Metal has been cleaned. Both guns are marked on the left hand side of the frame “Twigg” and “London” on right hand side. Both guns have Flip Bayonets

Circa 1750. 48 caliber with 3 ½” barrels. These are beautiful root wood stock guns. The butts have a bird’s head carved at the bottom and beautiful lace work carving around the upper tang/ There is also very fine silver wire inlay. The barrels are engraved and gold plated. Made circa 1750. 1 ½” bore with a 9” barrel. Very fine large example of a Migulet blunderbuss pistol. This gun is in the classic ripol style. The wood has extensive brass inlays that consists of scrolls with birds, flowers and along with grotesque faces. Small brass tacks also adorn the wood. Made circa 1790 – 1800. 65 Caliber with a 8 ½” barrel. Very fine gun with a brass barrel and brass furniture. Stock is nicely carved around the tang.
