Stock has a very faint cartouche on left hand side. Stock has shrapnel damage in two areas. One directly behind the lower barrel band and left of the rear sight. Metal has a grey and brown patina. Good overall condition. A desirable early Mauser.

The action is similar to the 1895 "gas seal" Nagant revolver. The overall length is approx. 37.5". The interior of the frame and cylinder crane are stamped with the serial number, 399. There are no other markings visible....
