Circa 1770. 1 ¾” bore with a 24” barrel. 40” in overall length which is giant for a Blunderbuss with a flip bayonet. Metal has been cleaned and wood has been refinished, but nicely done. This gun is identified by the flip bayonet release system which is unique to Waters and Co.

This fine flintlock fowler was manufactured by Caspar Zelner II of Vienna circa 1700 to 1740. He obviously learned the art of fine gun making from his father, Caspar Zelner I, who operated as a gunsmith in Salzburg circa 1680 to 1725. The overall length is approx. 59.5".
