Flintlock & Percussion Antique Long Guns

NSN, circa late 1850's-early 1860's, .40 caliber, 31" octagonal barrel. Barrel is marked "P.SMITH/BUFFALO/N-Y-/1856" has an overall brown patina with surface oxidation. Lock plate is marked "A.W.SPIES & Co" with floral engraving visible on the hammer as well. Stock is good with light handling and storage present, a noticeable wood loss is noted just forward of the butt plate screw....

Serial No. 1894, circa 1850-1880's, .41 caliber, 30" octagonal barrel marked "J.O. ROBSON-BUFFALO/1894". Barrel is a smooth brown patina with freckled oxidation noted. Stock has handling wear visible with a repaired crack on the right side, checkered wrist remains sharp and crisp, action does not function correctly, set trigger functions correctly. Consignment

NSN, circa 1840-1850, .48 caliber, .38.5" octagonal barrel. Overall length is 53.75", stock has a gorgeous tiger stripe pattern with wood loss visible at the breech. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark grey patina with scattered surface oxidation noted. Lock plate is faintly marked " R. & W.C. Biddle & Co./ Philadelphia. Made circa 1850. 65 caliber with a 41” barrel. This is a typical Afghan Jezail Flintlock Musket. The stock has brass inlays and is more ornate than you typically find. There is a repair at the wrist. 

Made circa 12800. This is an exceptional example with first class adornment. The pierced metal stock is superbly made with very fine engraving. The grip ia wrapped in a brass rope. The barrel is Italian with a flared muzzle. The tang is inscribed and dated 1837. Extremely fine Balkan Arnautka Musket!

NSN. Made circa 1810. 42 caliber with a 7 barrels that measure with a 20” barrels. The barrels have been expertly refinished and are in excellent condition. The stock is excellent as refinished. NSN, circa 1780's-1790's, .75 caliber, 39.25" octagonal to round smooth bore barrel. Barrel and lock plate are a dark grey patina, lock is marked "Ketland /& Co." . Roughly 20" of the stock was replaced with a period repair, scattered nicks, dings and scratches are visible throughout. Action holds at half and full cock.  

NSN, Circa 1850's-1860's, 10GA, 31.5" octagonal to round smooth bore barrel. Damascus barrel is a brown patina with a light coat of scattered oxidation visible. Hammer and lock plate have floral engraving, lock plate is marke "Cook Bath" Stock has light handling and usage wear visible, wrist checkering is sharp with minor scratches visible. LOP is 15", action functions correctly. 

Made circa 1780. 1.5” by 1 7/8” elliptical bore with a 20” barrel. Very fine example that is highly decorated. Barrel and lock both have engraving with brass overlay. Stock is carved. All furniture is engraved and both the side plate and the trigger guard have portrait figurines. The butt stock folds and the side plate has a belt hook for carrying.

Made circa 1680. 55 caliber with a 26” barrel. Metal has been cleaned. Axe blade is approximately 2 ½” long with a war hammer on the reverse side. The lock is the “banana” style. Made circa 1820. 55 caliber with a 36 ½” barrel. This is a very deluxe highly decorated Flintlock Rifle. The gun itself is European made for the middle eastern market. The barrel has gold damascene near the muzzle and near the back of the barrel by the lock. The stock is elaborately silver inlaid. This is a very fine gun made for some one of importance.

Made circa 1920, 60 caliber smooth bore with a 47” half octagon half round barrel.  Barrel is circa 1850s- 1860s. Lock, stock and furniture are circa 1920s. Action needs adjustment.

NSN .54 caliber right barrel and 16ga left barrel circa 1844-1863 with 28.75" Damascus barrels in overall good+ condition. Barrels are a dark pewter patina with a handsome Damascus pattern. Stock is good some minor handling marks present. Bores are good with some frosting visible. Action is nice and tight!
