NSN, circa late 1850's-early 1860's, .40 caliber, 31" octagonal barrel. Barrel is marked "P.SMITH/BUFFALO/N-Y-/1856" has an overall brown patina with surface oxidation. Lock plate is marked "A.W.SPIES & Co" with floral engraving visible on the hammer as well. Stock is good with light handling and storage present, a noticeable wood loss is noted just forward of the butt plate screw....
