Early Edo period Katana made by Inoue Yoshihiro (also known as Izumi no Kami Fujiwara Kunisada) in 1661. The blade was completed in the style of the Late Seki smiths of the 16th century. Overall length is 30-inches & the blade is 21-inches long. Comes with a 24-inch wooden scabbard but no tsuba (handguard) or grips. Consignment
Circa 1930's-1940's, 27" slightly curved blade. White ray skin wrapped in olive drab fabric tape is in very good condition. Bamboo peg has been replaced with wood. Later First pattern "KO" Japanese Type 32 Cavalry with a 32.5" blade with a 31" fuller. Blade is a grey patina with scattered oxidation noted throughout the surface. Ricasso is marked 24979. Steel D guard with steel checkered backstrap does show handing wear with nicks and dings in the checkered wood grip handle. Single ring scabbard is in good condition and is matching. Consignment
