The nickel on the cylinder and sides of the barrel is from holster wear and the metal shows a dark smooth patina. The cylinder likewise shows matching holster wear. We have owned many Wells Fargo Schofields but this one is certainly the most colorful and interesting of them all! This revolver has seen some real action. A lanyard ring has been added, most certainly by the owner. This is a very Old West Wells Fargo revolver, with western use with the “Sonora” mark and WF & Co. property mark 8570.
