U.S. Model 1841 Mississippi rifle by Whitney. Excellent original condition with 90% plus Arsenal tobacco brown finish on barrel. Wood has almost all of the raised grain and the cartouches are sharp. Case colors on lock are visible in areas, but mostly a gray to brown patina. Excellent gun in top notch condition!

Metal is smooth. Ramrod is a proper but recent replacement. Overall this is a real nice 1816 that has not seen a lot of use.

Gun still has a strong main spring and hold both positions. Gun really does not show much use, rather poor storage. Very good US 1816 pistol!
