  • Beautiful Double Cased Set of Special Order Colt 1860 Army Pistols.
Both guns made in 1868, .44 caliber with 8” barrel. Guns are in excellent condition with most of the original silver and gold finish. The silver is mostly tarnished, but there are areas that have been rubbed. The cylinders have most of the original gold. Both guns have unnumbered extra cylinders. The grips are carved Mexican eagle ivory grips. This gun comes in a deluxe factory Double case with brass reinforced corners. Case has normal handling wear on the outside. Accessories are very good. Both flask, mold and nipple wrench tools have most of the original finish. Very beautiful possible one of a kind set!

Reissued after the Civil war for service out West for the Indian Wars. They were often supplied to the buffalo soldiers. The revolver has the “U.S” in the trigger guard just in front of the trigger guard bow. Bore is very good and grips have most of their varnish (or re-varnish) action works perfectly. This gun is a little unusual since it is a 4-screw frame in the 45,000 serial number range while the 3-screw frame became the norm in the 33,000 serial number range. Grips are very fine with sharp cartouches.

Made in 1862. Absolutely beautiful gun! 98% of the original blue on the barrel. Bight case colors on the frame, lever and hammer. Thinning blue on the backstrap and excellent brass on the trigger guard. The grips are correct original Colt 1860 Army martially marked replacement grips. The condition matches the gun, but the grips are little undersized and the number on the inside is different from the serial number. Top notch condition!
