Kokura Type 99 7.7 Japanese (R27403)

Kokura Type 99 7.7 Japanese caliber rifle. WWII Japanese infantry rifle. Made by the Kokura arsenal (Tokyo). An early rifle with early features such as: adjustable peep rear sight with anti-aircraft wings attached, two-piece butt stock and drain hole forward of the trigger guard, cupped metal butt plate. Mum has been neatly removed from the top of receiver. Cleaning rod is missing. Metal has approximately 80% finish. Stock is solid with usual combat nicks and dings. Bolt serial number does not match. Action works perfectly. This is a very good example of an early WWII Type 99 rifle.
