Pair of Boutet Flintlock Pistols (AH5631)

Pair of Boutet flintlock pistols. One pistol lockplate is marked “Manufacture Imperial”. The second is marked “Versailles”. These were from the H.H. Thomas Collection, Louisville, KY. Barrel length 3¼” and overall length is 7”. Bores are approximately .50 caliber. Barrels are lightly engraved and gold filled. Our French gunsmith, who was in charge of restoration of the arms collection of the Versailles Palace, has confirmed that these are Boutet pistols, possibly as part of a garniture set. Overall condition is excellent. This is an excellent opportunity to own a pair of Boutet Versailles pistols at a reasonable price.
