Alex Baez Miniature Colt 1911 Government. (C14301)

Alex Baez Miniature Colt 1911 Government. This miniature 1911 appears to be the work of Alex Baez. The slide marking has the initials “AB” intertwined and this gun looks very similar to examples in the miniature book. This 1911 is fully functioning. It come with a magazine that has one round it. The gun will chamber the round, but we have not attempt to fire it. Mr. Baez was a jeweler and this gun is made out of silver that has been tarnished to look like blue. This is serial 101. One well known dealer has serial number 103 and thought it may have 3rd one made. The case is an early version. It is missing the plaque that came on the inside which has the Intertwined “AB” and said “Universal/45 Automatic”. Very neat set I do not think you will run across anytime soon!
