Shinto Yoshi Kuni Tanto Signed: Chikuco Yoshi Kuni This is a fairly straight, long tanto with a cutting edge (nagasa) of 30.6 cm or 12 1/16”. Yoshi Kuni worked in Chikugo province during the Sho-Ho period (circa 1644 CE). The tang is ubo (uncut) with two holes. This tanto features a spectacular full-temper (hitatshura), which is very uncommon. The habaki is first class two-piece gold. The blade is mounted in shirasaya with a sayagaki cattestation.
