Colt 1903 .32 ACP caliber pistol. By serial number belonged to Major General Daniel Edwards. Purchased directly from the family. Gun was issued to General Edwards in 1967. In W.W.II Edwards, then a captain was wounded in New Guinea by a sniper. A letter from his commanding officer General Eichelberger to Edwards father is in the documentation detailing what happened. Also included is a copy of a Western Union document that was sent to General Edwards wife when he was wounded, a picture of General Edwards and General Eichelberger along with two other gentlemen during W.W.II, and General Edwards obituary. Edwards was an important person General Eichelberger staff as he is mentioned in two of General Eichelbergers books The Road to Tokyo and My Dear Miss EM. The pistol shows carry use and normal handling wear but works properly. Very neat gun that is not only identified but has a lot of neat documentation.
