Beautiful Winchester Model 1883 Hotchkiss .45-70 caliber rifle. Barrel has a bluish/brown patina. Receiver retains case colors. Bore is excellent with a mirror finish. Stock is good, with minor storage and handling wear. Bolt is curved and cleaning rod entrance plugged. These modifications are seen in Californian militia guns bought in 1915. Very beautiful rifle!
