Extremely Rare Colt 1st Generation Buntline Revolver (AC11)

SN: 150873. Extremely Rare Colt 1st Generation Buntline Revolver. Made in 1893. This is a Frontier Six Shooter .44-40 caliber revolver with factory 12” barrel. Technically this is a carbine since the true Buntlines were in a certain serial number range and had a flat top. Gun letters as seen. It comes with a factory original skeleton stock. The vast majority of these are replacements and these stocks can fetch $10,000 or more just by themselves.

This gun was factory refinished and has about 80% of the finish remaining. It was shipped to the Fletcher Jenks and Company in Detroit with only one gun in shipment indicating that this is the one gun in the shipment. We cannot stress enough how rare it is to find an original Buntline / Carbine 1st Generation Colt Single Action. This is the only Single Action in 44-40 with a 12” barrel. Beautiful gun and among the rarest things you could find in Single Action collecting!
