Colt N^o. 2 Root Model Percussion Revolver .28 Caliber. Action works perfectly. Bore is excellent. Cylinder scene is not worn but is lightly rolled. Colts patent and serial numbers are very clear. Like other gun manufacturers that used roll dies to impress cylinder scenes, the dies wore out or “thinned” and were replaced. This Root is serial number 19218 and is clear on the butt and cylinder. Revolver has approximately 95% original factory blue. Hammer and loading lever have excellent case colors. Grips are very good plus to excellent with 98% original factory varnish. No chips, no cracks. Note: Revolver has some light pits on left side of frame above the trigger.
