Winchester Model 1873 Saddle Ring .38-40 (AW74)

Winchester Model 1873 Saddle Ring .38-40 caliber carbine. Made in 1894. The action works perfectly. The dust cover travels smoothly as the bold moves rearward, no sticking. The carrier also raises and lowers smoothly with no jamming as is often the case with lever action 1873’s. The bore has fair rifling and medium corrosion in the grooves. The barrel, magazine, and receiver all have an even patina and no pitting. The stocks are good plus with no cracks or chips. Overall, this is a good looking 1873 and certainly well cared for.
