Italian Naval (?)/ Cavalry(?) Pistol Carbine. This gun is very similar to the Italian model 1860 Carpenters pistol (Pistolne DA Falegnami DI Infanteria Modello 1860). The overall length is 28½” The 13⅜” round .66 caliber barrel has a fair rifled bore. All metal is bright. The stock is good with no chips or cracks. The lock has the Italian crown and shield over Brescia over 1863. The barrel is marked below the bolster “TA 1864”. The nose cap/band and hammer screw are missing, and the action needs adjustment. A reasonably priced project that will result in an unusual gun.
