Scarce Japanese Type 13 Infantry Rifle (AL5218)

Scarce Japanese Type 13 Infantry rifle. Overall length is 51”. The 32 3/16” round 11x60Rmm caliber barrel has a excellent bore with strong rifling. The barrel and receiver have a smooth brown patina. The trigger guard and butt plate are brown with some roughness. The stock is good with a couple of cracks at the barrel between the bands and missing wood at the butt plate tang. The cleaning rod and swivels are present. There are wrench marks on the barrel at the breech and the markings are very light but visible. The action functions correctly. Designed by major Tsuneyoshai Murata, this was the first Japanese-designed military bolt action rifle. They are scarce today. Fill that hole in your collection with this one!
