Merwin & Hulbert Medium Frame Double Action Revolver. 7-Shot revolver in.32 Long Centerfire. This is a flat butt revolver, not a birdshead revolver. This revolver has been renickeled. Grips are correct Merwin & Hulbert grips with a chip out of the left side bottom. Action works perfectly. This is a folding hammer Merwin. Left side of frame is marked “.32 Cal. 7 Shot”. Right side of frame marked in tiny letters “ADAMS”. This Merwin & Hulbert is marked “Metropolitan Police Dept D.C”. This is the only example of a Merwin revolver with Metropolitan D.C. Police we have seen. It is well known that Colt sold Lightning revolvers on contract to the Washington D.C. Police and we have owned several of those. Rare Merwin & Hulbert revolver.
