Confederate Richmond Armory Type III 2-Band Musketoon (AL5262)

Overall length is approximately 46”. The 30” round approximately .60 caliber smooth bore barrel has a fair bore. All metal has a gray/brown patina with light roughness. The barrel is marked “V/P/ Eagle” and is dated 1861. The stock is very good with scattered issue dents and dings, no cracks or chips. The lock, with medium “hump”, is marked at the front “C.S./ Richmond VA” and “1863” at the tail. The action functions correctly. The butt plate and nose cap are iron. Richmond’s don’t come up often.
