The lock is marked “Fiddian”. This full-stocked approximately .64 caliber fowling piece is 63½” long with a 47⅞” long barrel. All metal is good with areas of light pitting and a dark patina. The stock is good with some wood loss at the barrel tang and along the barrel. The lock, marked “Fiddian” at the center, has a border line and light engraving to the rear. The hammer is lightly engraved. The barrel has two proof marks. The four brass ramrod pipes, trigger guard, and butt plate are very good with a nice patina. The front trigger guard tang has the period raised acorn shape. The action functions correctly. This fowler would look great hanging over your fireplace! It is unusual to encounter one of these with the original full-length stock and barrel, most were shortened during use.
